Buell Ulysses is a motorcycle that was introduced in 2006. The bike was capable enough to make it Buell Bikes best selling motorcycle, even out performing the parent companies Harley models. The Buell Ulysses is based on Harley based XB12 series. Company founder Erik wanted to produce a touring bike having sport capabilities and the result was Ulysses which came as an adventure sport bike with road and off-road capabilities. It wasn’t a simple task for engineers at Buell to mate long suspension on XB chassis. They had to edit a lot. The design began to take shape from the chassis which were XB’s fuel in frame chassis and oil in swing arm to equally distribute the motorcycle weight. The frame was extended and now the fuel capacity was increased to 4.4 gallon from 3.3 gallon. Company claimed a sky high EPA of 51 mpg and 64 [...]
