    Italian motorbike manufacturer Beta is famous for its off-road motorcycles and is most popular for its trials motorbikes. Previously using KTM sourced engines Beta started using in-house engines since 2010 and have been very successful in various challenges. Beta began its operations in 1904 as a bicycle manufacturer based out of Florence in Italy and it was only towards the end of the 1940′s that they ventured into motorbike manufacturing.     Beta is a name which you would associate with the second letter of Greek alphabet or rather the harmful radiations thing. However in the world of automobiles, Beta is known as a maker of off-road or better still Enduro bikes. Beta first started out as a bicycle manufacturing firm in 1904.   • Goped Trail Ripper GTR46 goes Off-Roading

  • Yamaha R1 – From Tracks to Streets
    Yamaha R1 is super bike or a sport bike that was first debuted in 1998 and is still into production. The latest model for Yamaha R1 rolled out in 2009. Originally Yamaha YZF-R1 was manufactures with a redesigned Genesis engine. The engine now was compacted and total engine length was now shorter. Compacted engine gave shorter wheelbase which again resulted in quicker handling with center of gravity optimized. Initially R1 was only offered in blue or red color. The current model employees cross plane crankshaft that is brought to Yamaha R1 direct from the tracks. Such type of crankshaft is used in Yamaha MotoGP bikes.   • Ariel Bikes and its Famous Creations
    The British Ariel Square Four (also referred as Squariel) was a design of Edward Turner. Being unemployed at the time, Turner took his drawings of an innovative engine design from one bike manufacturer to the other. It was persistently ignored. Of the giants, BSA rejected the idea, but it was approved by Ariel bikes. This was before the birth of the Ariel Square Four. Turner’s engine was unconventional for its time; it was essentially two OHC twins lying parallel to each other; a flywheel (geared) joined them together.  Debuting at the Motorcycle Show of Olympia in 1930, the first model was featured in a chain-driven overhead cam-shaft form.   • Beta Motorcycles History
    Betamotor commenced in 1904, in the Italian city of Florence. Begun under the name “Società Giuseppe Bianchi” the company originally intended building bicycles that were handmade. With the fast paced development of the motorized transport and the massive changes that went through the Italian economy, the company turned to producing motorcycles in the late 1940s.
